Susana Oliveros Amaya holds a BA in Art, Minor in Literature and a BA in Art History from Universidad de los Andes, Cum Laude Degrees (Colombia), and a Master in Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design (US). Her work has been exhibited in Bogotá, Cali (Colombia), Providence and Boston (US), and recently in Quito (Ecuador). She has participated in Banff Emerging Visual Arts Residency (Canada 2021), Nave Residency (Ecuador 2021) and is currently resident of the Sculpture School from Sweet Pass Sculpture Park (Dallas, 2021-2022). She is recipient of the Scholarship for Emerging Artists (Ministry of Culture, Colombia 2018), RISD Graduate Commons Grant (RISD, 2020) and the Merit Scholarship (Proyecto Nave, Ecuador 2021). She has worked as Teaching Artist and writer with nonprofit organizations in Providence and Boston, and is currently based in Bogotá, Colombia.
